Supermercat Llorca: A history of tradition and evolution
Supermercat Llorca is a family business founded in 1908 by Miguel Llorca Pérez, who began selling grain, vegetables and wine on the ground floor of his house. His daughter Vicenta Llorca Barceló continued with the business, expanding the space and adding new products, such as salted meats and milk.
In the late 1970s, Domingo Llorca Balaguer, Vicenta's nephew, refurbished the business as a small local supermarket, with a wide variety of products, including fruit and charcuterie.
In 2010, Miguel Llorca's great-grandson, also called Pere, joined the supermarket. Since then, he has remodelled the spaces and incorporated new brands and quality products.
